The Division of Student Affairs

The Division of Student Affairs at Providence College promotes the educational development of the student outside of the classroom. In addition to providing services which address the students’ personal needs while attending college, these efforts include the social, cultural, and recreational resources which make for a complete college experience.

The Friar Four (Student Affairs' Foundational Pillars)

Our primary goal in Student Affairs is to help students prepare for lives of meaning and purpose - to help students discern and prepare for who they will BE, not just what they will do or how much they will make.  We have synthesized our message into what we call The Friar Four Foundational Pillars.  Our programs and services are built upon these pillars and we hope our students will consider building their college experience upon them as well.  Students can do this by educating themselves, engaging in the community and activities, and by empowering others.  Learn more about the Friar Four here.

Meet Vice President Goodwin

Kristine Goodwin has served as the Vice President for Student Affairs at Providence College since 2012.

Goodwin believes that her position in Student Affairs allows her to "integrate the
in-class learning experience I loved, and still love, with experiences that complement education beyond classroom walls.”  Under Goodwin's leadership, the Division of Student Affairs seeks to help students discern and prepare for who they ultimately want to be by seeking growth in four key areas known as The Friar Four (Student Affairs' Foundationall Pillars).  Students and parents can learn more about the Friar Four here.

As you explore the Division's departments, programs and services, please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions, comments or suggestions.
