Teaching in one of the PC’s largest departments, political science faculty members possess expertise in an array of fields. Their scholarly specialties cover the important political, economic, and social issues that are present in an ever-changing, globalized world.

These subjects include campaigns and elections, Latino and black politics, civic engagement, international relations and security, human rights, the news media, race and gender, social justice, and constitutional law.

Our faculty members have written well-regarded academic books and articles, and we regularly present research at conferences organized by regional, national, and international political science associations.

We hold doctoral degrees from Brown, Columbia, Johns Hopkins, Michigan State, Rutgers, SUNY-Buffalo, Syracuse, the University of California at Berkeley, the University of Chicago, the University of Connecticut, the University of Massachusetts, and the University of North Carolina.
