English as a Second Language (ESL)

ESL, or English as a Second Language, works together with individuals who wish to improve their English language skills. On the Providence College Campus, volunteers are paired up with Raymond Cafeteria or ABM employees; the students then meet with the employees once or twice a week. The pair collaborates to develop beneficial lesson plans and learn from each other throughout the semester. Volunteers also travel off-campus in order to help facilitate ESL classes for members of the Providence community.

ESL is a great way to interact with those who contribute so much to both our campus and the surrounding area. We meet one Thursday night a month at 8:00 in the Campus Ministry Center to discuss progress and support each other. Join us!
