Rev. Ken Gumbert O.P., professor of film studies at Providence College

According to The Guardian, history hasn't always looked kindly on the Oscars, with classics often missing out and groundbreaking moments few and far between. This year, there are still a number of races that are very close and it's really shaping up to be one of the most competitive Academy Award evenings in recent history.

Rev. Ken Gumbert O.P., a professor of film studies at PC, has provided us with his picks for this year's Academy Awards:
Best Picture - American Hustle
Best Actor - Christian Bale
Best Actress - Amy Adams
Best Supporting Actor: Jonah Hill
Best Supporting Actress: Jennifer Lawrence

He can provide analysis on the 2014 Academy Awards. To speak with him directly, please contact Chrissy Centazzo at (401)-225-0028, or ccentazz@providence.edu
