An annual Spring break excursion is one of the most treasured opportunities available to honors students. The purpose of the nine-day, whirlwind visit to Europe is to bring DWC to life through first-hand interaction with significant examples of historic art, science, and literature. Honors Program Spring Break is not just a sightseeing trip. Faculty members enthusiastically transform each global setting into an extension of their Civ classrooms.
Students and faculty recently have traveled to:
I spent my spring break roaming the streets of Barcelona, seeing the Flamenco at its best, eating paella, analyzing Picasso, and touring Gaudí houses and museums. All this while bonding with my fellow classmates and integrating my Western Civ knowledge into life in a new world.
