Whether you are an experienced firefighter, or just entering the field with an associate’s degree, our program is designed to elevate you to the next level. Plus, our B.S. in Fire Administration is among only a handful of programs nationwide recognized by the Fire and Emergency Services Higher Education (FESHE) network — part of the U.S. Fire Administration’s National Fire Academy.
Our graduates build critical leadership skills and are versed in the most current safety principles to reduce loss of life and property. Building on students’ foundation of coursework taken at area community colleges, the PC Fire Administration degree provides in-depth preparation in fire prevention, risk reduction, community education, and management to start you on a path for advancement to officer positions and other leadership roles.

A B.S. in Fire Administration from Providence College will jumpstart your fire and emergency services career and help you advance to leadership positions. Graduates are well prepared for careers as firefighters, fire investigators and inspectors, or fire specialists in industry. A bachelor’s degree is particularly important for those interested in supervisory positions such as battalion chiefs, assistant chiefs, deputy chiefs, and fire chiefs.
A Fire Administration degree can also open doors to jobs in emergency medical services (EMS), emergency management, homeland security, and forensics.
