Winter Storm Alert- Tuesday January 27, 2015

Due to the continuing effects of the storm, Juno, all classes are cancelled tomorrow, Wednesday January 28th, including all day school classes, graduate classes, and evening classes through the School of Continuing Education & School of Business. Academic Advising

Academic Advising at Providence College is faculty-based, coordinated and supported by the Director of Academic Advising, and supplemented by academic departments and programs, a variety of pre-professional programs, and by the Office of the Dean of Undergraduate and Graduate Studies.  Academic advising also involves collaboration with and referral to the Office of Career Services, Office of Academic Services, Personal Counseling Center, Enrollment Services, and International Studies

Goals and Objectives

With this mission in mind, advisors and advising programs:

  • Guide students through the transition and integration into college life
  • Promote programs and opportunities that enhance academic engagement, growth, and development of life-long learners.
  • Teach students to recognize and utilize their unique personal potentials
